A one-man set built around whatever room, or street, I'm in.
Handpan, guitar, and whatever else is in the case.
I'm a Malta-based musician working across handpan, guitar, and a small collection of hand percussion — darbuka, cajón, chimes. Most sets are solo and mostly improvised: what I play depends on the street, the light, and who's stopped to listen.
I perform both indoors and out — from Valletta's back streets at golden hour to private events and small stages around the islands. The handpan is the instrument I'm known for, and the one built into this site: every field on it is tuned and playable.
No two sets are quite the same. Some evenings it's just guitar on a quiet corner; others it's a full spread of handpan, drums, and an oud leaned up against a wall, waiting its turn.
Who Wants to Live Forever
During the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I reflected on the countless lives affected and the families who experienced unimaginable loss.
As a tribute to those who passed away and as a message of hope and solidarity, I recorded an instrumental rendition of "Who Wants to Live Forever." Through music, I wanted to express emotions that words often cannot and offer a moment of reflection during one of the most challenging periods in recent history.
#DoWhatYouCan
In 2020, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of Jon Bon Jovi’s global #DoWhatYouCan challenge. Alongside Keith Rollin, our version of “Do What You Can” was selected by Bon Jovi’s team as the winning submission among entries from musicians around the world.
The collaboration allowed us to showcase our creativity and Maltese identity on an international stage, combining music with visuals celebrating our island. It was a truly unforgettable experience and a proud moment for Maltese musicians.
In Memory of my friend Jake
Jake Vella was not only my guitar student, but also a dear friend who brought so much joy, determination, and inspiration into my life. Teaching Jake guitar was a privilege, and I will always treasure the time we spent together, the music we shared, and the special bond we built along the way.
It was truly heartbreaking to lose Jake. His courage, positivity, and beautiful spirit touched everyone who knew him, and I feel honoured to have been part of his journey. Jake will always hold a special place in my heart, and his memory will continue to live on through the music and the many lives he inspired.
Cel&Sacco
Alongside singer Celine Agius, I was also the guitarist in the acoustic rock/blues duo Cel&Sacco. The pair of us got wider attention when Celine returned to X Factor Malta with me on guitar — our audition only got about 40 seconds of air time, so we posted the full version ourselves.
We've released original music together too, including "Leigh" a song that means a lot to me which i wrote for my son, with a music video shot around a floor of candles.
Coffee&Nicotine
My debut single tells the story of a broken relationship and the emotions that come with heartbreak, loss, and learning to move on. The lyrics were written by Cel, whose words beautifully capture the pain and vulnerability of love coming to an end, while I composed the music to bring those emotions to life.
